Juniper acquires and lets tech building in Royston

Working on behalf of a private charitable trust, Juniper has negotiated the acquisition and simultaneous letting of a 26,000 sq ft mid-tech building in Royston, Herts. Previously used for the assembly of commercial x-ray machines the unit provides clean tech and office space which is in high demand along the Oxford/Cambridge 'Arc'. Upon the conclusion of the purchase, the property was let on a new 10 year lease to a major biopharma company for further expansion of their fermentation/cell culture automation sector. Jamie Green of Juniper adds: 'This is a clear example of tech and biotech end users looking to adapt high end industrial accommodation into clean research and production space. We expect this trend to continue and are already working with other companies seeking similar properties in proximity to Cambridge and the A10/A1 corridor'.
