BCO plans for a busy year in Cambridge
The BCO's East Anglia chapter has some interesting technical tours lined up in Cambridge for this year. The schedule kicks off with a visit to the James Dyson Building at the University's Engineering Department on 28 February. The Officers' Mess at Duxford is on the menu for March before we return to the city centre for a look at the new One The Square development at CB1 overlooking the station.
Reverting to the academic theme, a visit is planned in the summer to The Enterprise Centre, situated on the University of East Anglia campus in Norwich. This new building achieved the double accolade of Best National Corporate Workplace at the 2016 BCO Awards and the overall Best of the Best award. The judges deemed it to be "a centre of excellence at a European level, providing world-class facilities through its sustainable design and use of materials. Probably the UK's greenest commercial building..."
